Q :
Does Satan cause sinful thoughts?
A :

When you are a good person and carry out good deeds you move closer to Allah. However, there will always be a temptation to commit bad deeds and this is Satan’s influence. If you ever feel sinful you must seek Allah and ask him to save you from such thoughts. Satan cannot read people’s thoughts and his power is weak as he can only manipulate those whose who have weak faith in Allah, Allah Say: إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لَهُ سُلْطَانٌ عَلَى الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ إِنَّمَا سُلْطَانُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَتَوَلَّوْنَهُ وَالَّذِينَ هُم بِهِ مُشْرِكُونَ (translation: No authority has he over those who believe and put their trust in their Lord his authority is over those only, who take him as patron and who join partners  with Allah). We advise you to read the Qur’an as much as possible and to pray every morning and evening.

Sheikh, Hamdi Amin
